Parents United for Gallaudet Update - Tami Hossler

Wilton McMillan and I have been very busy the last few days with following up on what is next for Gallaudet. We are working hard to see that our parent group (PUG) is involved with the FSSA Leadership Council which will help guide Gallaudet toward the future through the transitional process.

We would like to have your input on how you think we should be involved and what our vision should be.  Please send to your thoughts to me at onthego321@aol.com.

Our goal in the next few days is to insure that PUG has a place and a voice in the decision making process..  We will need additional parent representatives that can attend the meetings in the next few weeks and months.  If any of you have the time, energy, and willingness to advocate on our children's behalf, be a representative for the group, and are not a Gallaudet employee, please let me know.  It is going to take many of us working together to keep us involved.  So I am calling upon parents who are local for help.  Let me know right away (ASAP) as now is the time for those of you who are interested in becoming involved to do so. Call me or email me right away. Thanks so much and I will keep you updated on our progress.

Also on Monday night we were involved in a meeting with the students who were arrested   We are hoping to get a comprehensive list of those students and their parents so everyone gets the same information.  If you know of anyone not on the list, please let Zibby know.
